Well, I have 15 Free Minutes before I must leave for another day, so lets see if I can do a post in that time.

The Last Post was LIFE MOVES ON, and This one might be called, And LIFE ALWAYS CHANGES,, my dear sister has such a time with men,,,(who doesn't?) but, bless her heart, her man left her Again.
Saddled with a low paying temp job, a 4 year old, debt out the ass, and just before The Holidays, bam, GONE. What a Dick. I mean could he have not at least waited till after the New Year??
So, our family, which has consistantly been, Anita, my mother and myself, even though we have another sister Cherie, who avoids us (possibly because we don't like drunks) and so it goes.
So, I am trying to figure out how to salvage the holidays,, which I have never really enjoyed much myself due to always having wonderful things like this happening consistantly throughout the years,, but hey, life is change, and I am trying to keep Pippi Longstocking alive and well in my mental outlook.
Work is driving me crazy, but hey, whose doesn't? I am busy as hell getting up at 5am and most of the time not getting home till around 9pm or 10pm!! There is alot of pet sitting to do this month,, thank the deities, cause the cash is needed, and at the Animal Hospital, it has just been plain stressful working for my SuperAnal Boss,, whom I still love, but damn he is EXTREMELY ANAL at times.
My world lately has been nothing but work and an occasional visit to the GoodWill Store to buy cheap treasures I find,
The Other day I found a christmas tree ornament of BEFANA, which flooded me with memories of Giovanni. Befana is a witch in folklore of Italy who like Santa brings gifts to good boys and girls at Christmas. (following snatched off the net)
The story is told that Befana, a very old and decrepit woman, refused to interrupt her household duties long enough to accept the invitation of the Magi to accompany them on their journey to find the Christchild.
It seems the Magi needed a guide in their search and asked Befana to help them find the way; but she refused to leave her warm and immaculate house of which she w&s very proud.
However, after the Magi had left, Befana had a change of heart and at dawn went in search of the Wisemen. She had prepared a basket of food for the journey and added toys and gifts for the Christ Child. Search and inquire as she might she was unable to find the Wisemen; but she distributed her gifts along the way.
As years passed the story grew and Befana now resembles a witch with a broom to fly and visit Home Pages on Epiphany. In addition to her basket of goodies she also carried a cane and a bell. The cane was to help her on the way and the bell was to warn the children of her coming. Children were warned to be good so that she would leave them gifts and not switches. When the bell rang, the children were hurried off to bed to “be asleep before Befana comes.”
In Italy, Epiphany is also called Befana Day. It is a day of feasting and celebration as well as gift giving and fairs are held in Rome and rural areas in honor of Befana Day.
So, I took it as a sign and bought it, and two days later, so good friends sent me a Solstice card with Befana on the cover!! Synchronicity strikes again,, it was postmarked the day I visited the Goodwill store, so I think Magic is Afoot again, regardless of the negatives going on, and I will hold on to the Positives that come my way this season and make sure they out weight to negatives.
