For Ricky,
written after a conversation we had August 20, 1997

Now,

We walk and the petunias
flower in our steps.
Change,
The One constant
yeilds only to the transformations
that spread before me
in synchronistic motion.
It begs the question
Of Meaning and the quest
Of Life being fulfiled.
Empathic flowing of contact
In A word Said
At the right moment.
Now,
It is So.
But, then it was different.

*Note: We had been discussing the fact that instead of waiting to push daisies up after we are dead and buried. We want to learn how to make them and petunias grow in our footsteps, as we walk through life, NOW. To be joyful again, and my dear friend, we are getting there!!

"But, then it was different"

Such a simple phrase containing such explosive echoes ...

like a rock casually dropped within the grand canyon .....

the sounds lingers for centuries due to gravity...

"But, then it was different" is a phrase that has caused great beginnings and great endings.

Thank you for this post.

My meditation of the day has now begunm.

Peace and blessings.

Lil Sparrow.

P.S. (check out the new Eurythmics song - Ive got a life, seems to be our theme song!)

Flowers in your footsteps eh? Cool idea. Sounds like an image from "Yellow Submarine". I love that movie! :-)

So whenever I want to find you, my dear friend, I shall just look for the beautiful path of petunias.

i really enjoy your blog.
by the way, i noticed that its “about me” column is at the bottom of your blog, i mean, after the posts.
i got some messages telling the same thing about mine.
if you know how to fix that, please let me know!
take care!

Little Sparrow, I was wondering if anyone would realize the signifigance of that line,, should have guess you would grasp some of its meaning.
Kate, I may be mistaken, but I most likely was subliminally influenced by the movie and record album/cover.....
