I cooked the Rabbit for Easter

Well Hello everyone,
I am sorry to have taken so long in putting up another post, life grabbed me by the balls and was tugging pretty hard so I had much to take care of lately thus the absence. So it has been well over a month, let me catch everyone up on the happenings of Red Hickory.
One of my now two roommates, DAR, came the first of March. He is a Druid from Scotland originally, and had been living in Ohio, I met him through my girlfriend Heather D. At first it looked promising, but now I have some reservations and concerns that I hope can be worked through. He is Straight and a Nurse, and was supposed to already have a job when he arrived, that fell through and the month of March was touch and go, first getting to REALLY know him and plus the fact that he is now JOBLESS, and I can't take anyone to raise, so this week has been spent making sure he knows that I will be helpful, but not a sugar daddy here to take care of him. He of course now is late on Aprils rent, and I have had to make a deadline of when I will have to ask him to GO if something does not transpire VERY SOON as far as him getting employment. With a nursing degree you would think,,,, but some people obviously do not, and I have had to lay the law down on how far I can go regarding leniency and NO RENT from him.
Being that this is a boyfriend of my girlfriend Heather I am going the extra mile for her, but have had to let her know that I can only go so far.
My Other Roommate, ERIC, is GAY and a Mechanic,,, how is that for stereotypes,,, the gay one is a mechanic, the straight one a nurse!!!,, We knew each other through Heather also, and had met two years ago, he came, WITH JOB, and it is so nice to have another gay friend living here again!! I haven't had anyone gay live here since Giovanni so it has been nice. Both roommates are Pagan, Eric is a Witch and so again the house if full of pagans, both straight and gay!!! LOVE IT.
The Car decided to Die last month the weekend that Eric arrived, being the mechanic he declared it DEAD without hopes of revival and so I had to scamper about for a few weeks. Being that I saw it was TRANSFORMATION working in my life again,, I laughed and said to the Universe bring me New Wheels, !!! This Full Moon, my boss bought me a car for $1500 dollars and said I could pay him in payments so that I was not strapped because of my unemployed roomie,,,, I HAVE THE BEST BOSS IN THE WORLD!!! He had let me borrow his Suburban for the weeks I was without a car, then wrote a check for the Subaru we found... What can I say,, I am BLESSED!!
and now for the News of ME!!
I MET THE NICEST MAN I HAVE EVERY MET IN MY LIFE.
We met on the night of the Lunar eclipse, and the anniversary of the day I met Giovanni,,, I immediately saw a new cycle of Transformation working in my life. We have a number of synchronicities that have made me really strive to make this Different from my past, because it has mirrored much of my past. The lunar eclipse and day we met being an old anniversary was the first of many coincidences that tells me MAGICK IS IN THE AIR.
His name is Michael,,, a name I have always loved (hey Lil Sparrow!!!), and also the name of one of the few men I dated after Giovanni,, who like Michael was also from West By God Virginia, thank the deities he is not a scissor queen like the other Mike. He was a truck driver up until the end of his last relationship,,, which is still present in his life due to circumstance,, and the other sync is his ex's name is Scott, so those who know my past history will remember my ex from whom I bought my present home with was a Scott, as am I, (plus another ex of mine) I know don't say it,,,,,
He is the kindest and most thoughtful man I have ever met,,, nothing like my past,,,lol
A Man!! A real one!
We both want to take things slow, and being that we both work multiple jobs and are swimming in debt, we are going to try and be smart and take it easy to start with,, but my heart is already smitten by the total REALNESS this man has shown.
Like I did, he is at the moment living with his ex, which presents many issues that I am handling so much better than I thought I would be able to do,, and I actually have already got to met the man he had the longest relationship with (6 years), and they are best friends, so there are elements that I know will be strange and different, but so far I feel OK with the hurdles and think that we both realize we are in places of change and transformation. He is not Pagan, but is OK with my spiritual path, from what he has seen so far,,,
Not sure if he will run naked with me at this years TRANSFORMUS Burn,, but he is open minded at least. (and if we are still together at that point I guess I won't be hooking up with my Lumbee Indian man this year,,,, Sorry Damien!!)
So,, as you can see, CHANGE AND TRANSFORMATION IS ALWAYS THE NAME OF THE GAME AROUND HERE!!
The title of this post comes from my friend Becca. Her and her husband Tom have a small farm and she brought me fresh eggs and gave me some rabbit that they raise and sell at the farmers market. I thought I would break my vegetarian diet and cook Michael the first meal I would make for him,, I made Curry Rabbit, It was delicious,, but Michael could not eat much,,, he started remembering his pet rabbit from childhood,,, and I didn't take the bones out,,, dammit,,, always debone,,, always debone the Rabbit!!! As always he was gracious and tried not to hurt my feelings,,, I felt like an ass,, but hey I guess that is life, how was I to know he had a rabbit as a kid? He said he would try it, and he did,, then he told me!! He didn't want to hurt my feelings,,,,, and was tooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sweet about it.
So,, this is where I am at the moment
I hope everyone is OK and doing well,,
I will get over to everyones Blogs ASAP!

Hi ya Scott. I am so glad to see a new post from you. It sounds like you are doing well..I am sooooooooo glad you have a new man in your life. I know you needed someone. I will keep my fingers crossed that things work out.
As for the roommate not working tell him to do an employment spell. Hopefully it will work.
The rabbit curry sounds good, can you post the recipe? We fried rabbit for easter a few years ago. My daughter thought I had flipped but she ate it and thought it was good.
Looking forward to your next post.
Happy Spring

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!

Sounds splendid! .... well except for the room mate not finding a job .... perhaps he should pursue fate and just take a job to pay the rent, instead of waiting for a nursing job?

Let's face it, rent has to be paid, food must be eaten, we all need money.

Hell, I have had over fifteen years in Arts Administration .... so last night while I was bartending....

... sometimes we just need to pay the bills while looking and moving forward...!!!

Tell him to get a job, ANY job.

A little hard edged, but ..hell a month later and he hasn't found any job? What about telemarketing?

So great to hear that you have a new man in your life. It just makes the sun seem brighter and the nights warmer, doesn't it?

I've never had rabbit before, but I would have liked to have sampled your curry rabbit. Sounds delicious, especially since it was made out of love.

an unemployed nurse? Hmmm.. that is hard to believe. There are nursing jobs EVERYWHERE esp. in NC. I have a sis there who is in nursing and always is telling me about job offers and contract jobs, and fill-in jobs, etc. Tell him to get off his ass, get a job, and quit mooching already! (gee, can you tell i have PMS?) Oh, glad you find a man (does he have a straight brother?)
