ECLOSION:
From the French, 'Eclosion, 'to Open'.
From the French, 'Eclosion, 'to Open'.
Definition: The emergence of an adult insect from its pupal case, or the hatching of an insect larva from an egg. From the French éclosion, from éclore, to open.
The Year before last my pagan group did a weekend workshop here at my home and during the course of the weekend, Emergence was a theme. So, the cycle of emergence is upon me again. At the workshop we talked, and did a meditation actually on being a larvea, pupa, and cocoon, then we did a dramatic ritual of Emergence from the Cocoon. We used vast swaths of silk material and wrapped ourselves tight inside and then danced out of it to symbolize our emergence into our own Power. It was a very moving and positive act to stimulate our higher selves into action. We discussed prior to the ritual how when a catepillar makes it's cocoon, the catepillar actually disolves into a liquid state(Hey LIQUID PLASTIC!!, catch this metaphor) and it is in this Liquid state that the true TRANSFORMATIONS take place. We called this state, the BUG JUICE state, and even today we can say to each other Bug Juice to stimulate that thought pattern of transformation. Then the Bug Juice solidifies and hardens into its new shape, a butterfly. At the Ritual we did for the workshop we danced about after shedding our silk cocoons as Transformed Human Butterflys. It was awesome and had a lingering effect all through last year for me and helped lay the ground work for last years transformations... Bug Juice.
Let's Do the TimeWarp Again!!
with another shot of Bug Juice!!
With a jump to your left, .....
Wow, Happy New Year!!
What a party,,, I just woke up!
I am now, "Open" again!! Emerged from my cocoon and fast pace that has taken over for the past few weeks. Sorry to have been incomunicato and abscent but the Mundane world has taken over a large portion of my life and I am still in a state of adjustment. Time has been flying by like a speeding bullet and my dealings with the "Real World" has consumed a large portion of the old temporal world.
The fact of the matter is I do not deal well with Time. I don't really believe it exists, it is just a construct of the BiCameral Mind, and materialist thinking and I could do without it,,,, and more of it.
Have you ever noticed how the little things become so big and overwhelming when you are in a depressed state of mind? yet When in a positive, uplifting state, ''time'' seems to fly by with the wind. Tempus Fugit! Speeds up, then slows down, speeds up then slows down,, a vicious cycle. So clockwork Orange like and all, I don't like it to tell you the truth. I could / would if given the oportunity to, just chuck the clock out the window. I like my personal biological clock thank you very much, leave it alone with that 9 to 5 slick shlock.
So the clock struck Midnight, and I fell asleep, to be awakened by the Dawn's early light.
What did I see? The past,,,, gone.
It was like watching from a train caboose as the mountain bend fades away taking the rough memory of the distant and not so distant past and letting it slip behind you. After my deep narcotic like induced stupor, I awake.
Awaken to the Dream.
And get up and greet the rising sun as it rises over the trees and I absorb the radiant wonder of living in the Eternal NOW. Now is the time ,, Now. I really have been Transformed in the past month, so in 'reality' this is the NEW IMPROVED Scott's first post of the New Year, and his New Life.
A life, that is moving fast with change and adjustments that are bringing new and excitin possibilities my way. Being that I view everything 'magickally and in regards to Transformative Change' IT IS ALL GOOD.
I must thank everyone for all the positive words of support,, and a special thanks goes out to Nerdine for a special gift she sent to me,,, She is one rocking Buddhist Woman!! And Anne, thank you also because the fairy ball is working some great magick here !!!! I have missed everyone, and will be checking back in to everyone's blogs to see how all of you are doing.
So,,, Eclosion!! OPEN UP to the possibilities of this New Year. Emerge from the cocoons of the Past!!
So,,, everyone, if you need help,, I am very skilled at turning into Bug Juice!!!
And Emerging through a state of eclosion to a New and Transformed Form of BEING!!!
Try it you will like it.

Good to know you're in the state where time seems to fly by - then I know you're OK, my friend! I've actually stopped wearing a watch - I can do without it most of the time. I always seem to end up at the right time anyways. I do need an alarmclock to get me up in the morning, though. I have a tendency to linger too long before I get to bed in the evening (I'm actually a night-person), so having to be up at seven is not easy. I would love to be able to go to work whenever I woke up in the morning!!
I've always been fascinated by the transformation from larvae to butterfly. It's an amazing transition, and to be able to convert this transition to oneself is truly a gift.
Looks like you experienced infinity Scott, that's wonderful. I enjoyed reading about your metamorphous exp. Good to have you back in Blogsville though :-)
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may...
Scott, I'm glad your faerie is working for you. Someone gave me a new wearable faerie ball at Yule, and my old wearable faerie got jealous, doggone it, and she hid a stapler at the school where I sub, and the stapler's owner was baffled!
If you leave wine or food out for your faerie, it helps to curb this kind of mischief. Alas, I can't take food or wine into English class!
Also ... no pagan community where I live, so I try hard not to envy yours. But today, at the self-same school, a teacher came up to me and said, "Are you a pagan?" And when I said yes, she said "Merry meet."
Could have knocked me over with a feather.
I too have been incommunicado as of late. It's been a time of adjustment for me and major change. It has seemed to have taken over my life and I haven't found much "time" to get on here and stay in touch with everybody.
Emergence is such a good word. It describes exactly the transitional period in which I am in right now. I always feel so good coming to your site. Your feelings always seem to echo mine.
Lunch/dinner/get together sounds awesome, Scott. It would be an honor to meet you, my beautiful friend.
Very well said, Scott. The experience you described sounds interesting and very uplifting. :)
Glad to see that you are in a relatively good state of mind.
I have missed your presence on my blog.
Love how your visuals seem to match so accurately your words.
Hugs & smooches.
